VERDA Water Quality Systems is pleased to join SteelcoBelimed and MUSC Health for the Precision in Cleanliness: Mastering the Decontamination to Assembly Journey Education Summit on September 19, 2026, in Charleston, South Carolina.
This full-day program will bring together professionals from sterile processing, infection prevention, perioperative services, clinical education, and industry. Together, they will explore the complete instrument reprocessing journey.
Topics will range from point-of-use treatment and decontamination to inspection, assembly, and preparation for sterilization. In addition, attendees will learn practical strategies to improve consistency, instrument quality, operational performance, and patient safety.

Representing VERDA, Mallory Rico will present “Control the Water, Control the Outcomes.”
Her session will focus on one of the most important variables in sterile processing: water quality.
Water touches nearly every stage of the cleaning process. As a result, water quality can affect detergent performance, equipment operation, instrument condition, and cleaning consistency.
Mallory will also discuss how ANSI/AAMI ST108 provides a framework for better water quality management. Just as importantly, she will explain why water quality requires more than simply installing treatment equipment.
The summit’s learning objectives also highlight the importance of water quality in reprocessing outcomes. That makes VERDA’s session a natural fit within the day’s broader focus on cleaning performance and process quality.
